The park opens at 8:00 and there will be a very slow line at the gate.
There is a $10.00 day use fee per car or walker. Car fees include four passengers. Bring cash, or a check with ID. They do NOT accept credit/ debit cards. The only annual pass that is valid is the " big 3 " pass, as they are a private concession and not affiliated with the red rock area, state or national parks.
Directions from I 17 to Rte. 260 (exit 287)
N. on I 17 to route 260
Turn left (west) toward Cottonwood.
Right (east) on 89A
Come to the intersection of 89A and Upper Red Rock Loop Rd.
You will see signs for Sedona High School on your right.
Turn right onto Upper Red Rock Rd. at the high school.
If you see Lower Red Rock Loop Rd., you have gone too far. Turn around and look for the sign and high school again.
Directions from old Sedona, or from intersection 179 and 89A:
I 17 TO EXIT 179
179 toward Oak Creek, Sedona
Turn left on 89A(T intersection)
Go past Lower Red Rock Loop Rd until you see Sedona High School on your left.
Turn left on Upper Red Rock Loop Rd. at the high school.
FROM BOTH ROUTES:
From the intersection of 89A & Upper Red Rock Loop Rd.
Follow Upper Red Rock Loop Rd. until you see Chavez Ranch Rd. A sign points to Red Rock Crossing and Crescent Moon Recreation Area.
Left on Chavez Mountain Rd. (unpaved)
In 3/10 mile, the road will fork.
Follow the right fork (paved) which is Red Rock Crossing Rd. Chavez (left) dead ends and is unsafe for non-offroad vehicles..
In about 4/10 mile. You will reach the Red Rock Crossing entrance on your left.
